Salomon Featherbed Trail Run presented by Petzl
Tuesday 6 July
Voted best new cult event by Go Multi Magazine. An absolute sell out since it was first introduced to the festival in 2008. The Salomon Featherbed Trail Run presented by Petzl offers an experience not found anywhere else. Enter either the longer Coelacanth route or the shorter Seahorse challenge and you also have the unique choice of three different running times.
A Morning Run for all those early bird enthusiasts, the Afternoon Run for the late risers and finally the newly introduced Night Run for the athlete who likes running under the stars.
Add into the mix, that you need to catch a ferry across the majestic waters of the Knysna Lagoon from the Featherbed Ferry Terminus @ Cruise Café to the private Featherbed Nature Reserve on the spectacular Western Head, for your remote start – this is one adventure no other trail run can offer.
Loaded with traverses through milkwood forests and coastal fynbos, the NEW 2010 route includes far more single and jeep track, plus views that will blow your mind. Enjoy a delicious well earned meal when you pass over the finish line at Cruise Café . Ferry trip, trail run and meal is all included in what has to be the best value event of the festival.

The Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon & Half Marathon
Saturday 10 July
Did someone say roadtrip!?
Circle 10 July 2010 as the highlight of your running calendar and head down to Knysna for the Pick n Pay Cape Times Knysna Forest Marathon and Half Marathon. It’s the most fun you can have in the forest in winter! With an estimated 8000+ runners, it forms the culmination of the Knysna Oyster Festival which spans over 10 days. Who can forget the taxi trip to the icy cold start, hot bodies huddled in the mist and the most beautiful scenery which masks the discomfort of a challenging run? Pack in your running shoes and make a week of it.
For more information please visit www.knysnamarathonclub.co.za, or contact Kerry Roos on 076 195 4832 or Moses Gerike on 076 174 2176, or email kmc@telkomsa.net
